STEPHANIE R. ABRAHAMS Stephanie Abrahams is a fine art painter living in lovely Laguna Beach, California. Although she was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, she has embraced the year-round outdoor life in California by painting plein-air landscapes in various locations throughout southern California. Working mostly by commission, she paints landscapes, cityscapes, and the figure. The paintings can be created from a photo reference or on-site at the location of preference. A sample of what you will see on the website are the plein-air landscapes which are painted in an impasto style that is the result of using the palette knife. Another series of paintings include landscapes and city views of european vacation spots. In addition, paintings from an exhibition called "Americana" depict figures, mostly of women, from the '30's through the '80's enjoying the good life. These figures are sketched-out and painted in vintage hues of oils and acrylics. Currently showing a few plein-air landscapes at Laguna Coffee Company featuring the painting seen above of the "Beaches" house in Crystal Cove...come check it out in the month of July! And my "Americana" Figurative paintings will be on display again in August through mid-September at a great new personal training gym in Boat Canyon called "The Well". Brian Wisely is the owner and used to own a gallery here in Laguna. His gym is next to the Bikram Yoga place and upstairs from Pavillions in North Laguna.
